Open School is looking for a creative, adaptable, trauma-informed leader and collaborator to join the Open School East team as the Social Emotional Learning Coordinator!
The Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Coordinator helps to create, adapt, and execute SEL initiatives within Open School East, and provides technical assistance and best practices to district and school staff around promoting students’ social-emotional development and well-being.
The SEL Coordinator works at our Open School East location Monday through Friday from 8:30a – 4:00p but must be able to be flexible as needed. The SEL Coordinator reports to the SEL Manager.
The SEL Coordinator role is a full-time, exempt position with a starting salary of $42,000 – $48,000 per year. High School diploma or equivalent educational experience. At least one year of experience working directly with youth, preferably with under-served and multi-cultural youth in an educational setting. Must be familiar with frameworks and ongoing knowledge of Social Emotional Learning, Positive Behavior Incentive Systems, and Restorative Justice. Proficient in using Microsoft Office and Google Suite in your daily work. Must be able to pass an Oregon Department of Education fingerprint-based criminal history verification pre-employment background check.
